This was the first time I offered mini-sessions for the cherry blossoms in DC. As a planner, it was challenging from the start because there's a lot of uncertainty when it comes to the cherry blossoms blooming. On top of this, there was also the question of how COVID-19 and social distancing was going to affect these mini-sessions. So, after my first location (Tidal Basin) and second location (East Potomac Park), were shut-down due to crowds, I panicked a little! Thankfully with some research and scouting, I found a back-up, back-up location and got to shoot these three beautiful mini-sessions.
While I felt challenged and a little anxious about the sessions, I am SO pleased with the outcome. I'm grateful to have learned from these sessions this year, and have an even more amazing time shooting couples under the blooms in 2022!
